POLISH CONNECTIONS was part of the Collective gallery’s Grezewczy Season, where Scottish and Polish artists collaborated on one day projects. I worked with Polish Poet Joanna Jarzymowska. We collaborated in physically acting out Joanna’s poems with Polish items from her house and with building blocks I had made in response to the stories she had told me about Gdansk. The day’s work was captured on camera and played as a slideshow whilst Joanna gave a practical lesson in the differences between English and Polish grammar.
