LOST LAKES OF TITAN ARE FOUND AT LAST 2007 - This performance was a reaction to a newspaper with this very headline.I liked the idea that an obvious landmark such as a lake could be lost and that through human endavour it could be found again.  I liked to imagine these lakes were hidden beneath mountains and that humans literally had to ‘move mountains’ to find them.  The word Titan signifies something of titanic proportions, the mountain is therefore an apt emblem.  The ‘At Last’ part of the headline sounds like perseverance, it would take a significant human effort and feat of engineering  to hoist up a mountain.  This human struggle could also be interpreted in a more human way, the social struggles of finding people, forging friendships, networking in business or finding love.
