Lost Lakes Of Titan Are Found At Last
FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE re-enacts this story – Pipe Banned – Customs staff discovered a mile long pipeline being used to pump black market vodka from Russia to Latvia – The Sun October 6th 2006.
The resulting performance grew out of research into Latvian Cultutre, watching Russian TV and the preconceived ideas held by the tabloid press surrounding the foreigner or other. By amalgamating these references the performance looks like a sport or ritual alluding to the political and to the sexual. The result is ambigious a cross between folk art and joke art.
